Day Six - Be Inspired

Switch on to the creative happiness equation

There’s a direct link between happiness and creativity. Being creative makes us happy, and when we are happy we are more creative. So you can fast track your way into happiness by doing the things that help you be more creative on a more frequent basis.

Day Five - Have fun!

Let your inner child out to play!

Playfulness is a great way into happiness and the more you indulge your inner child in fun and frolicking, the better for your emotional health. Otherwise, the rather weird thing is that your inner child gets out anyway – but in the guise of temper tantrums, toys out of the pram and emotional hissy fits. Be honest now – you’ve had a few times when you’ve reverted to being childish and felt the worse for it afterwards, haven’t you?

Day Four - Appreciate your nature

Appreciating your nature is about valuing your strengths and understanding how you fit in with the great scheme of things.

I’ll bet you spend a large proportion of time trying to fix things. Leaky taps, missed deadlines, overdue bills, hurt feelings. So many things to fix! Well, one thing you don’t need to worry about fixing is yourself. The good news is – you are perfect as you are.

Day Three - Write yourself happy

Show up to the page and write out your negative emotions to tap into your happiness.

If you are human (and I know that you are) you constantly have thoughts running round your head. Busy thoughts, worried thoughts, happy thoughts, confused thoughts...you name it, it’s all going on inside your magnificent mind.

Day Two - Only connect

Happiness grows through connections with people

Whether you are a roaring extrovert or a reflective introvert, all the research backs up what many of us already feel. Strong, positive connections with other people really do make us happier.

Day One - Being Positive

Being positive is about learning habits of optimism and choosing positive emotions.
